Fangstorm Steam Demo Review
Verdict: Play
Fangstorm is a chaotic first-person tower defense that rewards learning and punishes assumptions.
Once the three-route system clicks, Fangstorm opens up into a satisfying trap-and-cleanup loop. Switching between sword and gun feels clean, and the goblin escalation keeps each wave feeling different. The demo is short but does its job as a playtest.
Pros
- Clean sword and gun switching
- Trap variety opens up strong setups
- Escalating goblin types add pressure
- Right length for a demo playtest
Cons
- Wall and ceiling traps limited by castle layout
- No surface options where you want them
- Six waves leave you wanting more difficulty
- Time-gated playtest may no longer be available
